Imagine pristine wilderness, and people there who love one another. What in this image isn't Nature? Nothing. Thus, it's easy to see in the loving people, Nature loving itself, living in and as itself, learning of itself. We know from expeirments in the 1950's, that the primordial stuff of the universe automatically combines into proteins, under the proper circumstances. Cosmic dust's inherent ability to evolve is made clear by the fact that this entire solar system's primary constituents were present in the cloud of dust left by a supernova. This dust became the sun and planets, and all living things on Earth, including human beings who, through science or meditation, realize they are that dust. Awake Nature is known as "The Way Of Original Self-Recognition," and stands in the position of all Revolution Spiritualty: self-recognizing unconditioned heart-mind (awake goodness)is the foundation of all reality. We are God/Nature because we are never other than God/Nature, except when we are "asleep" or "forgetful," of our Nature. Each of us knows this in our hearts, but in childhood, it isn't mutually recognized and supported by most people, let alone the world. It's regarded by ego as "childish" or "magical thinking," but the heart knows, doesn't it? The childhood denial of this truth is what constitutes the actual "wound," so many suffer with. The suffering has many names. One of the most common is, "being asleep." If only the world could awaken! Awake Nature's view is similar to Tibetan Bon and Buddhist: Our shared perfect Nature is always awake, and it's in believing thought and history are who we are, that we find the finer meaning of "sleeping." In other words, being awake is natural, indeed is Nature itself! Try saying to yourself, "I, Nature." Let yourself relax into it. "I, Nature." Kind of looking in a mirror, isn't it, Nature naming itself? Yet, don't you feel the absolute Truth of it, and doesn't That Truth feel like love? Where in you is the center of the truth of this love, and aren't you wide awake and completely free of condition, here? Isn't their a natural wisdom, safety and joy? Ego can never accomplish this, we are already perfection. How can it? Ego can never let go, can never forgive or be forgiven...the Truth does set us free, into ourselves! In practice, continually choose the absence of the habits of conditioning. Original Self is found in the absence of the conditioned self of ego and personality. After all, how many people do we know who have to wear personality because they don't know how to wear authenticity? Mind is never other than its object of perception AS WELL AS its inherent, shining, empty, spacious Nature. Perception of any object would be impossible without the "space" of appearance, context, association, and meaning, etc. Mind's activity would likewise be impossible without the space of its Nature. Mind-Space; the stage the play of mind unfolds within. By making the unconscious, reactive mind clear to ourselves, we can choose to not react, follow or believe, and instead find ourselves in the peace and wordless wisdom of our unconditioned Nature. The peace that passes understanding. Then too, can you separate mind from any and everything that is? It's impossible! So, without distraction, let me invite you to examing these words again, and with self-recognizing cosmic dust in mind, see if you can tell yourself you are not the all-one, self-recognizing awake goodness you've always been! -James Heartland
